BrightSpyre applauded by World Economic Forum & CSF

BrightSpyre contribution on Executive Opinion Survey 2008 has been greatly appreciated by World economic forum (WEF), Ministry of finance government of Pakistan & Competitive Support Fund (CSF) – BrightSpyre has coordinated with CSF involving students in carrying out the Executive Opinion Survey (EOS) 2008 in Pakistan for the Global Competitiveness Report 2008-2009. The Global Competitiveness Report has been the World Economic Forum's publication since 1979 and is widely renowned as the world's leading cross-country comparator of factors affecting economic competitiveness and growth and this survey coverage has expanded each year, now extending to 131 countries.

This year students from leading institutes were involved in carrying out this project as they contacted more than 200 CEO’s of top level companies from all over Pakistan. BrightSpyre was drawn in coordination with Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Iqra University Karachi, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) and University of Management & Technology Lahore. Lahore Chamber of Commerce (LCCI) was also involved in helping students in carrying out EOS 2008. During the project, BrightSpyre has also given the trainings and guidelines to students about the importance of surveys and strategies of communicating with employers.

Aim of this project was to provide university students an opportunity and exposure to interact with the industry and to groom their skills before they enter into the job market. This survey also provided them learning opportunity about the overall process of executive opinion survey with the importance and benefits of such activity. During the certificates distribution ceremony organized by CSF, "Dr. Aliya Khan, Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Economics, Quaid-e-Azam University highly appreciated the contribution of BrightSpyre & CSF in conducting a successful exercise which results in helping students to get awareness about the industry as our university feels very proud to have been part of such a prestigious exercise” – BrightSpyre has always contributed in bridging the gap between academia & industry; coordination in World Economic Forum project was not the only effort but BrightSpyre has also introduced the concept of university specific job boards for the very first time in Pakistan.

Over 100 Jobs posted on BrightSpyre GIKI Job Board

BrightSpyre has got a very positive response on GIKI Job board and in a very short period of time, number of posted jobs has crossed over 100. A new concept of university Job boards which was started with GIK Institutue has gained fabulous success and importance among the universities and employers. GIKI job board has been used by around 40 different companies across all over Pakistan majorly from Karachi & Islamabad. Usage of the job board by employers based in Karachi is phenomenal because that’s where, BrightSpyre has helped employers the most in connecting them to university students despite the huge distance with the cost reducing to ZERO. Reckitt Benckiser, PEL, NetSol Technologies, TRG, Honda Atlas, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and worldcall Telecom are among the top companies who have used the GIKI job board.

This year there were about 95 GIKI students who graduated from all the disciplines and BrightSpyre provided them a platform in the form of job board where over 100 jobs were posted was remarkable.
BrightSpyre also got appreciation from different employers on taking such initiative and express BrightSpyre as “catalyst” in bridging the gap between university and employers.
